The streets of Coppell vibrated with the exhilarating energy of hundreds of students, staff, and neighbors as they donned in the vibrant school colors – red, black, and white – enthusiastically gathering for the grand yearly tradition of CHS’s homecoming parade. It's a spectacle that marks an important time in the school calendar, not only celebrating the anticipated homecoming game but also a sense of unity and spirit within our community.
The evening of Oct. 11, 2023, was a night to remember for our Coppell community. As the clock stuck 6 o’clock, the atmosphere along Parkway leading to Coppell High School were transformed into a festive affair bordered by high spirits and cheerful laughter.
In my very biased opinion, the highlight of this year's parade was our baseball team's involvement, taking center stage on a float cleverly designed to mirror a football goal, complete with a baseball at its heart, demonstrating the team’s solidarity towards the school spirit and the big game to come. The baseball team, dress in in their game day jerseys, proudly walked down the parade path interacting with the crowd and distributing candy to all the eager young children.
The annual HOCO parade represents the unity between different sports and academic programs, pledging their support for Coppell High School. Coppell rose victoriously that Friday, elevating the school’s pride even further. Go, Cowboys!
